iPhone customers are being spied on by Apple, it has been revealed. According to security researchers in Britain, each iPhone records its user’s whereabouts several times each day, and stores the information in a secret file.
"Apple has made it possible for almost anybody - a jealous spouse, a private detective - with access to your phone or computer to get detailed information about where you've been," the Guardian quotes security researcher Pete Warden as saying.
The information can be easily extracted by anyone gets their hands on an iPhone. Apparently, the information can also be extracted remotely. Several programs on the internet are available to extract the file with.
Apple has refused to comment.
