Just when it seemed as if Modern Warfare 3 would far outsell rival Battlefield 3, the latter has come out with some pretty impressive sales numbers. The game has shipped more than 12 million copies to date, with 8 million confirmed sales.
Modern Warfare 3 sold 6.5 million copies in its first days of release, but no further numbers have been made public by Activision.
Regardless of who wins out in the end, it’s clear that both games have already made a ton of money, and will likely continue to do so.
