Capcom Refuses To Finish Mega Man Legends 3

Keiji Inafune, the legendary creator of the Mega Man franchise, says that Capcom refused to let him finish Mega Man Legends 3. He started the project shortly before leaving Capcom, and offered to finish it after the publisher canned the game.

However, Capcom declined.

"I stated that I was ready to make a contract with them so that I could keep working on those projects that I started," he reportedly said of the situation. I couldn't start making contracts with other publishers for sure if Capcom agreed to the proposition, but I wanted to see those projects that I started to completion. They answered, 'We have no need to do that.'I wanted to leave Capcom to recharge my energy, and support Capcom from there, but it seems they don't allow it."

Capcom has said that it wants to continue to work on the franchise in the future, but it has been vague as to what it has in mind.
