CryEngine Heading For Kinect, Wii U

Developer Crytek has confirmed that its proprietary Crytek engine will be used on the Wii U, as well as several other platforms, in the near future. Kinect is also on the list of future supported platforms.

"Kinect is major driver for future platform… so Kinect support is important,” Crytek said.“Having basic Kinect support in the CryEngine is one thing, but I'm talking about really supporting it deeply. CryEngine is going to have deep support. Then there are other efforts towards supporting mobile and tablets, which we can only say we are working on. How far we have gone and what we mean is something I can't say more about now."

Crytek’s engine is famous for producing some gorgeous graphics, though it has come at the price of massive processing power. How tablets will make use of the engine, therefore, remains unclear.
