The most interesting feature about the Wii U's controller might be the fact that it has a touch screen, but that doesn't mean Nintedo wants devs to always use it.
Apparently, the firm only wants devs to make use of the touch screen if it feels "natural" and fits in with the rest of the game.
"I don't think it's necessary for any and all developers working on software for the Wii U to make use of all of its features, including the touchscreen," a Nintendo exec recently told Edge.
"Regardless of whether it's a Nintendo developer or a third-party developer, if it makes sense for the game to make use of the touchscreen, I hope they take advantage of that. If it doesn't, I hope they don't.
The Wii U is out next year.
