Further Price Cuts For Embattle Wii

The Wii, which once was so popular Nintendo could not keep up with demand, is now struggling to sell at any price.

Following a number of aggressive price cuts by Nintendo, the console has now seen a further reduction in some parts of the world. In the UK, the console will henceforth sell for just 89 pounds sterling.

Nintendo has had a terrible year, with its 3DS disappointing and the Wii barely selling at all. The company reported a major financial loss a few weeks ago.

Nintendo is hoping that next year’s launch of the Wii U will reverse its fortunes.
