David Reeves the former boss of Sony in Europe, has said that he believes hackers will again target the PSN in the future.
"People are playing it a bit safe at the moment because the hackers will be back," he said in an interview with ME Gamers.
"That's my personal opinion. I mean...they will right? They are going to say: 'So you think you are secure?'"
The PSN was brought down for nearly three weeks by hackers who have yet to be caught, costing Sony $150 million.
Sony has upgraded the security on the network, but regulators in Japan were unimpressed, and apparently required the company to implement even more security measures before they allowed the service to be restored.
This has led many people to believe that the security on the PSN in Europe might not be as secure as Sony has implied.
