Kaka to Feature on FIFA 11 Cover
With Madden 11 getting released this week, you just know Drew Brees is going to have a couple of doubts about featuring on the cover. Sure, he’ll say it’s a great honour and so on, but in the back of his mind there’s got to be a little doubt. After all, Troy Polamalu – who featured on the previous year’s cover – injured himself in the season following the game’s release. He missed a lot of playing time and his Pittsburgh Steelers went 8-8, missing the playoffs.
Brazilian soccer star Kaka is set to feature on the FIFA 11 cover, and won’t be thrilled that many fans are now upgrading the “Madden curse” to the “EA curse.” A series of unfortunate incidents relating to cover stars for almost all the company’s sports games has prompted the change of title, and is certain to raise an eyebrow or two among the ranks of notoriously superstitious soccer players. Though regardless of what happens, he’ll still feature in the game, which is due on October 1.
