Microsoft has announced that its Kinect device will hit PCs on 1 February. The gadget, which launched last year for the Xbox 360, has been massively successful for the company, and has found uses far beyond gaming in fields as diverse as medicine and engineering.
The device sold 10 million units in its first weeks of release, making it the fastest-selling gadget of all time. Microsoft has plans to further expand the device’s feature set to make it into a fully-fledge controller for every aspect of the living room and beyond.
The announcement was made at the CES expo in Las Vegas.
