Microsoft’s Kinect motion controller device has sold more than 18 million units, it has been revealed. The company’s CEO, Steve Ballmer, made the announcement at the CES expo in Las Vegas recently. Kinect has proved a massive money spinner for Microsoft, having sold 10 million units in its first few weeks of release. It has also found application in fields beyond gaming, including medicine and engineering. Microsoft plans to release a PC version of the device on 1 February.
