Mario Clone Hits App Store

Apple has always been very high and mighty about what it allows on its App Store. Nothing naughty and no rip-offs has been the mantra in the past, but it seems that this has changed. GameInformer (via CVG) has picked up on a shameless Mario clone which has somehow slipped through the cracks over at Apple.

The game is called Monino, and channels Mario is almost every way.

According to CVG, this is the description listed on the App Store:

"The protagonist of this game named Monino, in the story of this game, Monino's brother was captured by a monster named Bowler, he is on the road to Bowler's castle to rescue his brother, a lot of monsters in different levels are waiting for him, would you like to join Monino's rescue action? Go!"

The game has since been removed from the store, but not before eliciting a lot of lulz all around.
