Capcom has stopped all work on its planned Mega Man game for the Nintendo 3DS.
This follows the cancellation of Mega Man 10, which was scheduled to be released for the release on the Wii later this year.
"Mega Man is still an important franchise within Capcom's portfolio and we will continue to pursue opportunities to create new titles in the series," Capcom said in a statement.
There was no solid reason given for the cancelation, but many pundits believe that the loss of the series' creator last year has caused the project (and other Mega Man ones) to be killed.
There is no word as to what Capcom plans to do with the franchise in the near future.
