EA Sports has been a bit quiet of late. The company recently announced that it might not make another MMA game, and its NHL and NBA franchises have also gone quite a while without updates.
However, EA recently made it clear that this period is simply the calm before the storm, announcing that it is opening a new studio in Texas.
"We have aggressive plans for expansion, and I will be visiting Austin, Texas, this week to assess potential space for a new EA Sports studio location," the firm said."Our goal is to attract, hire and retain the industry's best talent."
What games the new studio will work on is unclear at this time.
