Nintendo is trying to appeal to the casual gaming market again. While the DS was a huge hit with casual gamers, the 3DS has not done as well, partly due to its high price and partly due to the lack of software for the device.
However, Nintendo plans to announce a slew of new titles at E3 next year, which the company hopes will reverse the luckless 3DS's fortunes.
"Will there be content to appeal to consumers 50 plus the way Brain Age did? Absolutely," the company's US boss said. "Will there be content that's going to appeal to women the way we are able to do with the DS? Absolutely. I can't go into the details of what exactly those titles will be, but stay tuned. There is information that we'll be sharing prior to E3, plus a lot of information at E3 as well."
