It has been revealed that Sony's PS Vita will have much less RAM that was first announced.
The decision is apparently aimed at making the device - which is due in the beginning of next year - more completive in terms of pricing.
The cut will see the device holding only 256 MB of on-board memory. This is less than the iPhone 4.
Some pundits have pointed out that the PSP only had 32 MB of RAM, so it is still a major increase. However, studios have made it clear that they want a lot of memory in next-gen consoles and this announcement will not be welcome as far as they are concerned.
