It took a long time, but the PSN is finally back online in Japan.
The service has been operational for quite some time in the West, but the Japanese government - and some banks, if rumours are to be believed - demanded that Sony make more security improvements before it brought the PSN back online.
The PSN was offline for more than 3 weeks in most of the world costing Sony an estimated $150 million. However, it is unclear whether that number factors in the extra downtime for the service in Japan.
