Sony Or Microsoft To Drop Out Of Console Race?

Gaikai, the online game streaming service, has claimed that either Sony or Microsoft will drop out of the console race in the next generation. The company didn’t say why they thought so, but an exec seemed pretty sure that it would happen. "Not all of the current console makers will have one more generation. That will be the big news at E3," one exec at the company said. This would, of course, be a huge coup for Gaikai, since its streaming service is aimed at killing consoles and gaming PCs. However, we can’t see either Sony or Microsoft giving up on the huge cashcows that are the PlayStation and Xbox franchises.
