Sony Pushing Virtual Reality Gaming

Sony is still trying to convince the world that 3D gaming is a good idea – something that a lot of people are quite skeptical about – and now have yet another initiative they want the world to adopt: virtual reality.

"Another thing that's coming back, which I'm very excited about, is the notion of virtual reality," an exec said recently. “We've now got the power to do it, we've got the screen resolution to do it, we've got the processing power to update fast enough so that we can have very, very immersive experiences on head-mounted displays in gaming in the not too distant future."

So maybe you should hold off on the 3D TV for now. Who knows? Within a few years you might be able to buy a holodeck instead.
