Space Invaders Movie Incoming?

Lorenzo di Bonaventura, the producer behind the Transformers and GI Joe films, has apparently bought the rights to making a movie based on the video gaming classic, Space Invaders.

A movie is also in the works based on the classic game, Asteroids.

There is no indication as what the movies will be about, but we're guessing it will be somewhat different from the actual game itself.

There is also no news about who will star in it, write the script, direct it or when it will be released.

So right now the whole project is still pretty much entirely in di Bonaventura's head which, judging by the reactions to this story, is perhaps where it should stay.
