Steam Going Mobile?

Valve's Steam service is by far the most successful distribution service for PC games. Now it seems that the company is looking at expanding its influence into the realm of mobile devices.

"We do feel we're late on mobile across many of Valve's services," the company is quoted as saying on CVG. "It is something we're starting to look at now. People are starting to ask us for it. The more requests we receive, the more we feel the need to act on them…Mobile is really interesting. If you're making games, you have to be thinking about having a platform in this space. But it's too early to say anything definitive."

Is Valve really ready to take on Apple? Well, we suppose it can only benefit consumers if there is some more competition in the marketplace.
