Unpleasant Horse Hits App Store

After more controversy than most games on the App Store ever gets, Unpleasant Horse has finally been approved by Apple. The game, which sees players throw ponies into a death trap of spinning blades, is apparently now OK with the iPod manufacturer (via CVG).

There had previously been some complaints about the content of the game, but Apple seems to have quickly gotten over it.

It seems that the company's QA department has been somewhat erratic. Just a few days ago they let a blatant Mario rip-off slip through the cracks, and now they are allowing a horse mutilation simulator get through.

What is going on over there at Apple?

The game is produced by casual gaming developer PopCap.
