The Xbox 360 sold more than 1 million units last week, making it the best period in the popular console’s history. This coincided with “Black Friday,” one of the biggest shopping days in the US.
700 000 Kinect units were also sold, continuing the motion controller’s tremendous run off success.
The Xbox 360 is still slightly ahead of the PlayStation 3 in terms of overall sales, with most analysts placing the lead at anywhere between two and five million consoles.
No successor to the 360 is expected until at least 2014, although many analysts believe we might see it as early as next year.
