iPad 2 Release Delayed In Japan
Apple today announced that the iPad 2 will not be released in Japan in the near future. The company’s new device – which has sold more than one million units in its first days on the market – was due to be released in the quake-stricken country on 25 March.
We are delaying the launch of the iPad 2 in Japan while the country and our teams focus on recovering from the recent disaster," Apple spokesperson Natalie Kerris said in a statement.
The launch of the iPad 2 will continue as planned for other regions that are due to get the device on the 25th.
Apple has given no indication as to when the iPad 2 will make its way to Japan, saying only that the delay is “indefinite.”
